SPECIFIC FUNCTION
Cleanse the liver. One known active is Silymarin, which is apotent
potent antioxidant especially effective in the liver. This herb was added to
the formulation because during the cleansing process, the rate of
excretion (i.e. breakdown/detoxification) of body metabolites will
increase generating a greater than normal level of free radicals.
This herbhas been used in traditional Chinese medicine to "tonify"
and to replenish the "vital energy" to the liver. Studies have shown
that this herb can increase blood flow to the liver, which increases
the rate of toxin drainage from the liver.
